Overall #clockwork uConsole feels more useful than beepy. Hardware is more powerful, keyboard and screen size are much larger, and the extendable slot made it easier to build additional functionalities. Plus you don’t have to 3D print a case by yourself.
Finally received my #clockwork#uConsole order. Very impressed with the build quality. Other than the trackball being quite painful to use, everything else is above my expectations.

every single app that uses a popup to sign in needs to stop hiding the address bar.
There is no way to test if its a legit website and 1Password doesn't work
Finally completed the #beepy (previously #beepberry) setup after purchasing it almost one year ago. Haven’t figured out what to do with it but it’s definitely a cool form factor :D
Btw writing the llm.c training code would imo be a very interesting, impressive, self-contained and very meta challenge for LLM agents. The prompt is:
Take the PyTorch code train_gpt2.py
And write, compile and unit test a single .c file that reproduces the training: train_gpt2.c
The current models are not there, but we can check back in a year or two or so. If that worked...
New (2h13m 😅) lecture: "Let's build the GPT Tokenizer"
Tokenizers are a completely separate stage of the LLM pipeline: they have their own training set, training algorithm (Byte Pair Encoding), and after training implement two functions: encode() from strings to tokens, and decode() back from tokens to strings. In this lecture we build from scratch the Tokenizer used in the GPT series from OpenAI.
We can confirm that the account @SECGov was compromised and we have completed a preliminary investigation. Based on our investigation, the compromise was not due to any breach of X’s systems, but rather due to an unidentified individual obtaining control over a phone number associated with the @SECGov account through a third party. We can also confirm that the account did not have two-factor authentication enabled at the time the account was compromised. We encourage all users to enable this extra layer of security. More information and tips on how to keep your account secure can be found in our Help Center: https://t.co/C9SIie1i16
After an intense 15 months of review, today Adobe and Figma have decided to end our pending merger, as we no longer see a path toward regulatory approval of the deal.
