Brendan O’ Neill sums up all the discussion surrounding Israel vs Ireland on Sunday night.
Every word. Nailed it.
“There is no way to explain this mania and hypocrisy…”
🎯🎯🎯
Every word of this Sam Harris essay on Israel is obviously true and it’s crazy that we live in an intellectual environment where this is called contrarianism.
Iran made a direct hit on a Palestinian hospital.
BBC? MSNBC? New York Times? WaPo? Sky News? Owen Jones? Mehdi Hassan? Francesca Albanese? Antonio Guterres? Pedro Sanchez? Emmanuel Macron? Keir Starmer? AOC? Rashida Tlaib? Ilhan Omar? John Cusack? Mark Ruffallo? Dua Lipa? Billie Eilish? Susan Sarandon? Angelina Jolie? Harry? Meghan? Hello?
In our region, the rule-of-thumb for when to plant grain crops is "after ANZAC Day". The operation of planting completely erases anything in the paddock.
So I figured, if it will be visible until at least ANZAC Day, let's combine the two?
To the greatest place. Happy Australia Day. 🇦🇺

This is something special.
For the third year running, South Australian farmer @HarrisonSchust1 has ploughed a powerful Australia Day tribute into his family’s paddock, this time honouring the ANZACs.
Harry says they don’t normally begin seeding until after Anzac Day, so the tribute will remain visible in the paddock until it's tilled over then.
Lest we forget.
Australia, be more like Harry.
It should be rather obvious now that many of the global protests were never “pro-Palestinian”. They were explicitly supporting The Islamic Republic’s terror proxy in Gaza.
And now they are silent because they support the terror regime in Tehran currently murdering thousands.
@AlboMP Albanese’s refusal to call a Royal Commission into the Bondi terrorist attack and the rise of antisemitism in Australia is abhorrent, contemptible, and cowardly.
He is putting politics ahead of the safety and lives of Australians.
Albanese knows a Royal Commission would expose his failures and those of the Labor Party. He has calculated that the political backlash from refusing to act is preferable to the embarrassment and accountability a Royal Commission would bring.
This is reprehensible conduct from a Prime Minister whose clear priority is to protect himself, even at the expense of the citizens he is meant to serve.
Imagine telling a Muslim that yes, the Christchurch mosque shootings were horrific, but also the Qatari or Saudi governments’ terrible actions didn’t help.
Imagine telling a Christian that yes, the massacre of Christians in the Middle East is awful and deserves condemnation, but also the Pope is engaging in anti-Muslim rhetoric, so it makes sense.
Imagine telling a gay man that yes, the Orlando nightclub shooting was atrocious, but also the LGBTQ community could have been more discreet.
You can’t even fathom these ideas, right? So why would anyone think it’s acceptable to tell Jews that the Chanukah massacre in Bondi Beach was terrible, but that we deserved it because of a war in the Middle East and because of Israeli politicians?
Are we being careful enough about who we let in?
My piece for the @australian quotes former Deputy Secretary of the Department of Immigration, Abul Rizvi

The Prime Minister's go-to platitude is to say that we will not let this divide us. That, he says, is what the terrorists wanted. No, @AlboMP, they wanted to kill Jews.
