More than 400 migrant care workers have staged a musical protest outside the UK Labour Party Conference, singing Nigerian singer Aṣa’s hit song ‘Jailer’ to oppose visa rules they say expose them to exploitation.
The protesters are demanding the freedom to change employers without jeopardising their immigration status and the retention of the five year route to permanent residency, using the song to amplify their calls for freedom, fair treatment and dignity.

I’m still trying to understand why some people would be so wicked as to import expired drugs and revalidate them, and to make matters worse, these drugs are meant for children.
Why would anyone be so wicked as to do this to their fellow Nigerians? How can we be this careless with human lives?
You Can’t Use Corrupt Money To Send People On Pilgrimage, Sultan Tells Political Leaders
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has cautioned political leaders against sponsoring pilgrimages to Mecca and Jerusalem with stolen public funds.
The Sultan, who spoke on Wednesday in Abuja at the public presentation of the commission’s inter-faith manual to religious bodies on Wednesday, said God is not corrupt and doesn’t like corruption.
I keep saying it, Nigerians are just as bαd as the leaders they criticize, we are truly a reflection of those in power. Imagine the length people will go. Goodness.
Not just in the North, but this guy Shehun TikTok is one of the best content creators in Nigeria. This is one of his best content and it’s so so educational.
A valuable lesson👏
I remember when we were building the water factory in 2021. The NAFDAC hurdle was the hardest to pass.
They came to physically inspect the factory, told us to take sealed water samples (that we produced in the presence of their agents) to their lab in Oshodi.
It took 2 months to get approval.
I can’t believe the same NAFDAC is standing idle while these fake food, drugs, and beverage producers run wild.
ARE YOU HAPPY TO LOSE YOUR PARENTS, SIBLINGS, SPOUSE & CHILDREN TO FAKE DRUGS?
Counterfeit medical products in Nigeria affect up to 70% of the market per WHO report as well as local studies. This causes an estimated 100,000+ annual deaths; enforcement gaps persist despite NAFDAC raids.
If you don’t want to lose your loved ones to fake drugs join the advocacy against fake drugs, demand stricter supply chain oversight and harsher punishments for criminal manufacturers of fake drugs. #SayNoToFakeDrugs
