It was gratifying to see the President attend multiple public occasions back-to-back over the weekend, during which he displayed vigour and enthusiasm for Nigeria, culminating in his visit yesterday to the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwan Akiolu I.
He even danced publicly with well-wishers in a show of warmth and bonhomie!
Not only are our President and the democracy we fought hard to achieve healthy, but I challenge anyone to name another country besides Nigeria where five former presidents are alive, living in the country, on good terms with the government in power, and cooperating with the incumbent.
Nigeria is one of the most, if not the most, politically stable nations in the world, irrespective of how the opposition tries to mislead you, as a Nigerian, into believing otherwise.
In Nigeria, you have General Yakubu Gowon, President Olusegun Obasanjo, General Ibrahim Babangida, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, and President Goodluck Jonathan, all living and thriving in Nigeria, while being on excellent terms with the incumbent and even attending National Council of State meetings in unison.
Until the unfortunate death of President Muhammadu Buhari, may God bless his memory, on Saturday, July 13, 2025, Nigeria's past leaders living peacefully and contributing generously numbered six.
No Nigerian former leader is in exile, fighting the incumbent, or maintaining a Cold War with the government.
This is rare to unprecedented.
And Nigeria has had leaders who transferred power from one President to the other, one Party to the other, one section to the other, and one geopolitical zone to another zone, in an undisputed transition, without a crisis of leadership
Do not allow yourself to be gaslit. Nigeria is by far more politically stable than the opposition and their foreign and domestic agents want you to believe.
And economic prosperity follows political stability, like day follows night.
This is why the Nigerian Stock Exchange is the most profitable bourse on Earth, bar none, according to Bloomberg. And the FTSE Russel has reclassified the Nigerian Stock Exchange as one of the highly rated frontier markets. At the same time, J.P. Morgan has added Nigeria to its prestigious Government Bond Index–Emerging Markets Edge (GBI-EM Edge) with a 7.4% weighting.
Under His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Nigeria is the best place to park your money on Earth.
That is why Africa has its largest-ever initial public offering, again, bar none, with the launch of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO.
That is another of many reasons to be proud of Nigeria.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
