All our solidarity with our friends of @PeoplesForumNYC. The vandals cannot accept the example of those who fight and advocate for a world of peace and justice. @ArzuagaReyes
An Update from ICAP: Today the flames that remain will be extinguished; its intense orange lights will remain in the memory, the thick black smoke will be a shadow in the minds. Already the anonymous heroes of the country walk through what was hell hours ago.(1/2)
Seven years ago, Sandra Bland died in jail. She was in jail because she didn’t have enough money to pay the $500 bail bond. Any system where people are caged because they don’t have enough money is evil. And must be destroyed. NOT REFORMED.
Happy Birthday to my friend, brother, and colleague @MumiaAbuJamal. Though he remains wrongfully convicted and unfairly incarcerated, he continues to be a voice of justice, freedom, and principled resistance. Free Mumia. Free ‘em all.
Who are we kidding? The Left has almost as much of a problem with transphobia as the Right which is why the trans community counties to be so vulnerable to the organized attacks of the latter.
@Dionna_King7 Wow!!! Congrats! I haven't moved in 15 years but I highly recommend hiring movers if you can unless you have enough moving support. On another note, I def want to know more about the lottery application process!

A great way for @POTUS to honor Black History Month?
Cancel student debt. All of it.
Today, let us remember Martin Luther King as he was: A Black radical anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, revolutionary Christian who was murdered as an enemy of the State. Anything else is just a lie.
I mean, it’s been said constantly, but the refusal to prioritize public health over corporate profits is what doomed the pandemic response. Keeping everyone healthy was never a priority over getting low wage workers back to work.
The fact that you simply can’t, as a reality of nature, fight a pandemic as an individual based on your own individual choices alone, should show us all that none of us truly exists alone. Our fates truly are bound together. That reality should inform how we live going forward.
Appreciate this interview between @marclamonthill and @saharazizlaw. As Sahar points out, anti-Muslim rhetoric may be nastier and more blatant than it's ever been, but it's not anything new in American politics.
It's been a cornerstone of Republican talking points for decades.
@joshuahakim Agreed! 🙏🏽 Another question could be... what are the racialized (& gendered) messages you have received about who is a leader/what leadership looks like... this can help identify how systemic messages are internalized, then inform interpersonal decisions & systemic impact.
