I didn’t pay for a load test. A user did it for me.

Last month a user added 166 monitors overnight.
The next day it was 404.

The system didn’t struggle at all — Redis stayed calm, workers behaved.
But that user basically became my tester, spotting things I had missed.

So I wrote a small health-check API that pings both Mongo and Redis.
If either fails, it returns 503.
Now Watchman Tower monitors that endpoint.

The backend looked fine.
Because I was only monitoring the app — not Mongo directly.
