This is the best explanation of shared sequencing I ever saw – thank you @pumatheuma, excellent post.

Looking from this perspective:

1) it makes a lot of sense *technologically* if you want to scale one large chain,

2) it makes little sense for independent rollups to unite under a shared sequencer, because they'd have to give up their sovereignty.
