@Frisbob From what I can tell, he was probably correct. A team made an offer to Mintyukov, who didn't sign it (that's what pending offer sheet meant in his original tweet I think). Mintyukov wanted to stay in Anaheim so he used the offer sheet as leverage to get a deal done.
@etoilesvol@_katecarr they have prospects, but none who are signed to an NHL contract/eligible to play NHL games right now. I'm sure they could fix that before September, but right now? FIVE. FIVE DMEN.

@bucksnoopy I get the feeling they're also skimming over their "grammar checking" use, where that's shorthand for "using AI to write my sentences with correct grammar."
This is true and common, but also, in more than a few of these cases, can we have a higher standard for jokes, please? Like, just saying something dumb and/or wrong isn't really a joke. It has to actually be funny. If it's not, people are just going to think you're an idiot.
