It has been going on far too long.. I honestly don't know how the PHSO came up with their compensation figure of financial loss.. thousands and thousands of lost pensions, what about the lost bus fares for 6 extra years, and. lost dead spouse state pension payable to their widow

I can’t actually believe Ofgem are being allowed to put up energy bills by 10% in October, when the winter fuel allowance has already been cut for some of the most vulnerable. BUT MPs who earn £90k and can well afford their own bills are still claiming energy expenses, while taking away winter fuel allowance and now this 10% rise in bills. This is from some of the most vulnerable in our society.

Let alone the fact we subsidise food and alcohol while they’re at work, yet they still refuse free school meals for kids in poverty. I’m just blown away by their freaking hypocrisy. You get me?

The constant delays completely undermine the @PHSOmbudsman and any recommendations they make in the respect of NHS complaints handling. If the Government can ignore and delay acting on PHSO recommendations then every NHS Trust in the country can follow their example and refuse to embed or act on any recommendations or learning suggested by the PHSO within NHS practice..it sets a dangerous precedent..

Yesterday, I visited the cemetery to see my daughter who passed away as a baby. As I was leaving, I noticed a man, He was talking to himself, carrying a sleeping bag, and it was evident that he was unwell and had nowhere else to go. The day was hot, and I watched him take a drink from the cemetery tap in the rear view mirror

Driving home, I couldn’t get him out of my mind. Halfway there, I turned the car around and went to a food shop to get him some fish and chips along with two drinks. When I returned to the cemetery, he was still there. I gave him the food, and he asked me if I was his Aunt Stella. I tried to ask how he was doing, but he was often off-topic, clearly struggling with his health. Yet, he was polite and gentle

Not gonna lie, I did cry

How did we get here? How did we return to a time reminiscent of the Victorian era, where vulnerable people are left like this, In all the political posturing and noise, where is the care and support for the most vulnerable?

As I left him, I realized I never asked his name. I wondered how long it had been since someone called him by his name, a basic form of recognition, acknowledging his humanity

I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.

I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.

My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.

I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.

I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.
