@CactusFuturist@metalblade616 it is simply wrong in every sense to say something can be better than doom or quake because there is no better than doom or quake and it is not relevant. they are standard units, basic measurements of video game.
@SEGAcaturn Hi, ripper here. Its just for the preview model visual, the actual model only has around 200. I subdivided it like that in order to properly showcase the model, which takes advantage of several hardware quirks. Tldr, concave polygon effect.
@piperocktheory actually most of the time upscaling is bad pretty bad for the art too it's just that most people look past the numerous issues it causes in most emulators
@Alphons63 which bands three colors together in a line and has those two black pixels connected to it which really helps to show the perspective on it. not necessarily very obtuse or maybe even intentional examples but i think it all contributes to the good shaping on display
@Alphons63 i was just looking at the face, which has both horizontal band with the hair and the dark pixels on the eye that emphasizes the width of her nose bridge, and a broken vertical band that intersects with it to outline the shape of the nose. I also noticed this bit at the shoe -
