Just using Twitter to follow people, don't look at me.

@MetroidDatabase You can just cut out most of the URL parameters from the image links on the amiibo website, like this:

[Wyatt @blorb]

@ColshopS @DrR_MP4 Sylux's flashbacks are pre-rendered video files, as far as I'm aware none of the models made for those scenes are in the game.

[Wyatt @blorb]

@MetroidDatabase I did, they're uploaded on Wikitroid: https://t.co/ssnGhAqmJW
Seems like they're all 2048x1152.

[Wyatt @blorb]

@MetroidDatabase You can rip them directly from the game using recent versions of retrotool. https://t.co/kMK3fZ0oDf

[Wyatt @blorb]

@MetroidDatabase @VirtualIntro That's exactly what I did for the rips on Wikitroid

[Wyatt @blorb]

@Trevorberg @AsrielXSamus @NinEverything Hi, I'm the guy who ripped the files! I can pretty confidently say the dialogue mentioned here WAS cut, since Retro deleted all the associated subtitles.

[Wyatt @blorb]

@MetroidDatabase @Albeytruss Afaik BlueStacks is incompatible with Nintendo Today anyway, an easier option is this repo: https://t.co/QfXhi5ekLF

I've been using this to extract content for Wikitroid, though I did have to make some small code tweaks to make it work with newer versions of the app

[Wyatt @blorb]

@MetroidDatabase I've been keeping Wikitroid updated with direct rips of all Nintendo Today content, including the Databook:

[Wyatt @blorb]

@ChaosMiles07 @Stealth40k Fun fact: The animation of the rock striking Samus is named "rock_inyoass.ani"

[Wyatt @blorb]

@MetroidDatabase These files were released by @forestillusion back in 2023, only a few months before they closed down.

[Forest of Illusion @forestillusion]

We've preserved raw master files which were used during the printing of Metroid Prime's PAL manual! Filetypes include: .EPS, .TIF, and .QXD (QuarkXPress Document). These allow you to view every single screenshot and piece of artwork that was used in their original quality!

[Wyatt @blorb]

@MetroidDatabase You got a source for that? In the game files they're just .webm videos, which gives no indication how they were originally created. The aliasing and lighting changes really look like a 3D render to me, though, and it would be way easier to create them that way.

[Wyatt @blorb]

@TelemariTV @cryophase AWASS is exactly what you said when it happened too

[Wyatt @blorb]

@ThatMetroidGuy Yep, that's the case for (most) spoken dialogue, e.g. the narrator in MP1 or cutscene lines in MP3.

[Aftermath @Aftermath_site]

I woke up thinking about how good the game Echo was

[The Spaceshipper 🚀 @TheSpaceshipper]

Now that Scavengers Reign is available on Netflix in the USA, UK, New Zealand and Ireland, be sure to check out this sci-fi masterpiece if you can. And spread the word. 🖖

This show deserves a second season, and so do we.

[Cryophase🎃 @cryophase]

WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK

[Wyatt @blorb]

@wooflings Might have sold myself on Optimauga Prime tbh cause he's the only character whose torso is already built like a semi truck
