Tidak bermaksud gatekeeping atau fear mongering. Tapi menurut saya, vibe coding hanya cocok untuk orang yang memang sudah bisa coding. Setidaknya, tahu dasar-dasarnya.
Gw berharap tekbro/teksis makin banyak sharing.
Gak harus 100% mengedukasi. Sharing pengalaman pribadi juga masuk sharing.
Misal:
• Claude bapuk, mending Kimi karena...
• Vercel terbaik woy, soalnya gw habis...
• Waduh limit Claude tiba-tiba habis, terus gw nemuin ini nih. Mantap...
• Gw abis ngutang ke bank buat invest GPU dan running model micin, ternyata...
Yapping sebanyak-banyaknya soal pengalaman kalian. Jgn mau kalah yapping sama Claude!
Recently I interviewed a Senior Engineer.
Strong candidate.

Then I asked:
"Your video platform has 500 million users."
A creator uploads a video.
The video starts going viral.
Within a few minutes:
1 million users are watching it.
Every time someone watches the video, you need to increment its view count.
The request reaches your service.
The view is recorded.
But now I asked:
"How would you design the view-counting system?"
Because simply doing:
UPDATE videos SET views = views + 1
for every view won't scale.
And there are more problems:
→ What if you receive 100,000 views/sec for one video?
→ What if the same event is delivered twice?
→ What if some events arrive out of order?
→ Do you update the database for every view?
→ How would you handle a viral video without making its database row a bottleneck?
→ Would you choose exact counting or eventual consistency?
→ What happens if your Kafka consumer goes down?
And finally:
"The creator dashboard says 9,999,821 views, while the public page says 10,000,143. Is that a bug?"
That's where the real system design discussion begins. 👀
Your task:
Design a system that can process millions of video-view events per second while keeping the system scalable, fault-tolerant and reasonably accurate.
What would your architecture look like?
