@IvyMarieArt There is a difference, I think, in knowing you held racist beliefs because of where and who you grew up with and THAT. Unlearning covert racism is a bitch, because it is so insidious, but none of the people I know who did the work had a NAZI PHASE!? It is not normal, at all.

Not trying to say you're a horrible person, but it's important to recognize when you see a list of attributes described in a negative light, that correlating it directly with autism as a whole is not great.

@tleemaxey @hey_elksock It took a lot of research and listening to other autistic people, especially women, to come to the conclusion because of preconceived biases. Same as my ADHD dx. The statement you made did unfortunately conflate autism as a whole with that depiction. Have a nice day :) /srs

@tleemaxey @hey_elksock Maybe not, but even nd people can have incorrect assumptions about about other neurodivergences or even the one they are part of themselves due to not having that information. For a long time, I didn't think I was autistic bc of the negative assumptions in the tweet above.

The person she replied to secondly described a lot negative characteristics and conflating that negative view WITH autistim by saying just "so, it's autism" in response? Not good :/ no nuance

@Izze1122 @tleemaxey @hey_elksock As autistic people, we all have every trait to a certain degree. That's what makes us autistic, because of those traits. But it is a limited worldview that is harmful to autistic people who don't present in that way for many reasons. Hope that's cleared up. :) /srs

Idk if it was "right" or moral for him to do it like that, but idk how many adults I've met that can't grasp empathy in the face of adversity. It's a psych phenomena for a reason

Yogurt alone can be used as a snack w fruit, a marinade, a crema or dip, a homemade dressing for salad, a smoothie, fro-yo, etc. 🥰

I hope her sick cat is able to recover, I would be devastated and angry to be put in that situation because of things outside my control. I can only imagine and hope this issue doesn't get as far as me. I'm a ways away, but still scary
