After an amazing stream tonight (thanks to those who came out) I have achieved twitch affiliate status!!! Very exciting...now to get a sub emote figured out...I may have an idea though
@Helfinator@Markus_Kurko@BkRiposte Can definitely agree that it is a really good rom hack. Just tried this out on BK recompiled and loved the BK-ization of each level I played.
@HCGSHOW@GameSack Tried reading others responses first, but could it be the 120HZ output settings? I know that PS5 has a weird bitrate output that could be effecting things differently than Series X. I assume PS5 was normal though.
@BillTheFajita @Bubba_1722 I would say it’s more the $700 tag versus the $450 tag of the PS5 digital. PS4 vs PS4 Pro was $100 difference/same price as PS4 when launched.
This makes it $250 more when digital and $280 more when physical. At that price a PC is not far out of reach.
@ExoParadigmGmr Nice job! The guides choose the vis as they are stronger to solder too. Soldering to resistor pads is good for test points and debugging. Long term the joint can break if the soldered on part moves a lot. But if the mod does not move when you insert a cable, you should be fine.
@ExoParadigmGmr High enough resistance. However, you have to balance the current with how bright you want the LED. Too much resistance and the LED does not emit any light. Usually an exponential curve. So now you have it at 320 ohms, about 15.6mA. If your happy with it, leave it :)
@ExoParadigmGmr Okay so it failed how I expected. The issue was not the voltage, but the current. The 20mA on the package was the max current. Adding the 100 Ohm just limits the current further. If it popped, it would be voltage. Slow burn out usually means current.
@ExoParadigmGmr Okay, ignore the 3V part as that is the typical circuit it goes too, but LEDs are pure current consumers. Instead just tie it from 5V to the end of a 250 ohm 1/4W axial resistor and the other end of the resistor to ground. It should work just fine.
@ExoParadigmGmr So without knowing the exact LED, I can’t give component recommendations. However, there are many ways to achieve it. A resistor divider is the easiest, but inefficient and potentially has issues, but solvable :)
@ExoParadigmGmr As an EE, there are many ways to achieve it haha. Nintendo being cheap… not surprising at times :P
LEDs just need current to achieve their brightness. Voltage is mostly for the diode activating. Depending on the diode you need usually 10-30mA for good brightness.
@BillTheFajita Good list, I would move origami king to 5th and everything else up. Sadly the combat was just okay to me. Got repetitive over time. But I would say it still is a fantastic game that was fun :)
@SlimKirby Actually doing this as well! The paintings will be the worst, but slowly going through the series with no time traveling and doing majority except catalog collection. Current games being AC GameCube and New Horizons.
