Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd has clarified that most fires linked to its Indonesian subsidiary, PT Menteng Jaya Sawit Perdana, originated outside its concession area and have since been extinguished.

This comes after KLK was named among 20 corporate entities linked to forest and peatland fire sites in Indonesia, where fires have contributed to transboundary haze across neighbouring countries.
