This is absolutely the last stop in the road in the case in which @realDonaldTrump had to pay @ejeancarroll $5,000,000 plus interest on a unanimous jury verdict for what the esteemed trial judge explained was, in common parlance, rape, and for defaming E. Jean by accusing her of lying about the rape.
Trumpโs Supreme Court petition in the remaining case (involving a second $83.3 million verdict) contests the non-application of presidential and statutory official immunity. The resolution of those issues cannot in any way affect the now-permanent factual determinations underlying liability in the $5 million case.
In other words, Trump will never, ever be able to undo or challenge the fact that he is now, and forever more, an adjudicated rapist.
