@MorskiZmij@davidbadash@ABC Most people see a gun suicide as a painless way to go. But other means like pills and knives and stuff are more painful and slow. Without a gun in the house, I do believe suicide rates would drop. https://t.co/JiwbTaVhUw
@MorskiZmij@davidbadash@ABC The majority of gun-related deaths come down to homicide and suicide split down the middle. So having a gun in the house would absolutely lead to more people committing suicide. People react very quickly when in distress. They're more likely to reach for a gun.
@Amaro_Lionheart@AZ_Brittney These are just a few of the values I hold important to me. Dating someone with different politics may work for some but when it comes down to it, politics determine human rights and basically everything that affects us in life.
@Amaro_Lionheart@AZ_Brittney Politics directly point to a person's ethos. IE, I'd never be with someone that didn't support my right to choose and basic women's rights. I'd also not date anybody against LGBTQ, paying our teachers more, and anyone willing to make hurtful jokes at the expense of others.
@kwok_xian But a lot of them were smokers. My pap on my mom's side also drank a lot but what killed him was a brain bleed. So I think it's honestly genetics and luck.
@kwok_xian I've seen the opposite in my family. My grandma died fairly young I believe when I was about 3 around 50ish. Her husband died around 75ish. My father's mom died around 75-80 and her husband well before that. My mom is in early dementia at only 60. Bad genes it seems.
@Toadcialism @forestvanslyke Not sure if this will help but I take the pill that doesn't have estrogen. I have bad migraines and my sister had a blood clotting disorder so they suggested no estrogen. (the mini pill, copper IUD, etc). My periods used to be so rough and now they're very light and normal.
@jonesybones @de_caverne @nathaliejacoby1 After that, his mom and step-brother finally agreed to get it because they saw the damage firsthand. I'm thankful they got it but it shouldn't take losing someone to see the danger.
@jonesybones @de_caverne @nathaliejacoby1 My fiance had an unvaxxed cousin that died from it. He went on the vent and never came back. Everyone else I know that is vaxxed and had it has healed up quicker. It doesn't hurt to have the vaccine but it sure does hurt some to not take it.
@nathaliejacoby1 Me up until a month ago lol but I was slacking and didn't get the bivalent vax. We also weren't masking and have been going out to do stuff so I'm surprised we lasted this long. I never want covid again so I'm getting it ASAP (I think 2-3 months after you have covid)
