My hobby: reading the comments thread on sloppy scientific srticles. It's the one place where "don't read the comments" doesn't apply. They are often far better informed than the original article.

Apple store: 5 minutes to stand in line to be directed to the right line in order to book an appointment - same day only - with a 4 hour wait to turn my laptop in for a battery replacement that will take 2 days. If this is the only option I'll buy a new laptop from someone else.

@frogjoouz Note that "the family unit" is an invention of recent history, as any anthropologist will tell you. And also that specialized roles by gender are arbitrary and change culture to culture.
