Un étudiant chinois de 19 ans, Zhang Wei, a développé un radar IA et l’a vendu à Hong Kong pour 550 000 $.

Il l’a créé avec Claude, en dépensant seulement 20 $ et un mois de développement.

Il est entré dans les bureaux de l’administration de Hong Kong avec une simple clé USB et a demandé cinq minutes de leur temps. Trente minutes plus tard, il en ressortait avec un chèque de 550 000 $.

Le programme, relié à une caméra, détecte la vitesse en temps réel. Si la vitesse dépasse la limite autorisée, Claude enregistre automatiquement un extrait vidéo et identifie le propriétaire grâce à la plaque d’immatriculation du véhicule. La vidéo ainsi que l’amende sont ensuite envoyées automatiquement à l’adresse e-mail du propriétaire.

Contrairement à un radar classique qui ne prend qu’une photo et dont les résultats peuvent parfois être contestés, ce radar IA élimine les litiges grâce à l’enregistrement vidéo. Il rend également tout le processus entièrement autonome en émettant lui-même les amendes.
