@recondirective hp works vs all attacks, def only vs physical.
Health vs damage reduction
usually you raise the lower one if you want to increase bulk. It also depends on what you want to tank and if you want the hp number to be good for pike leftovers recovery, poison damage, etc

@RaiBread776 three houses and awakening both allow for much more customisation between chapters, something closer to other RPGs. i wonder if fe7 is a better suggestion?

d1 on trade is +15 instead of +13 on regular CH. ws1,1 sets that up quite well..... #t8_kunimitsu

@roysobased if they play unsafe/bad strings its punish. If they play safe then ssr duck beats a lot of her get off me buttons:
df4 (i12) mid gets stepped. 4 is homing high, df1 isnt the fastest, jabs lose too. b3 is slow so it opens her up for CHs
chainsaw mids give up her turn or are slow

@GenghisConnThr3 this is not even close to the base game, often there are multiple paths and space to try out things. only very much later does it ramp up to something like this
