For Immediate Release: IntegrityTO donates $20,000 to Daily Bread Food Bank through Heritage T-Shirt Campaign

Toronto, ON — June 4, 2026 — IntegrityTO is proud to announce a $20,000 donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank in support of its ongoing mission to combat food insecurity and hunger across Toronto.

The donation was made possible through the sale of heritage “Yonge-Dundas Square” t-shirts, which tapped into public nostalgia and civic identity surrounding the former name of Toronto’s iconic downtown square.

“We are thrilled to have harnessed the collective memory and affection many Torontonians have for a beloved civic landmark in support of an important cause,” said Daniel Tate, Executive Director of IntegrityTO. “At a time when the cost of living continues to strain household budgets, too many people are relying on food banks simply to get by. Turning a civic conversation into meaningful support for a vital cause is incredibly gratifying.”

The contribution will help support the Daily Bread Food Bank’s efforts to address rising hunger in Toronto while continuing to advocate for long-term solutions to poverty and food insecurity.

IntegrityTO sold a high volume of Yonge-Dundas Square t-shirts, tapping into Toronto’s collective memory, and turning a controversial chapter of Toronto history into an opportunity for positive change.

The ideologically-captured TTC Board were clearly irritated and uncomfortable with my deputation. Most remained preoccupied with their phones and laptops while I articulated the harsh realities about the transit system they are entrusted to care for.

The average salary of those in the room exceeded $200K per year, including Joe Mihevc, a “consultant” who has several lucrative contracts with the City. No Board member had any comments or questions for me and were eager to see me leave the room. The Chair was especially displeased with my remarks.

FYI - the TTC has a costly “diversity department” and “truth and reconciliation action plan.” I’m not sure how either are related to their operating mandate of delivering a safe, reliable, and efficient transit system.
