Today I am exactly 39 days to being 60 years old.
I reached the highest offices in academia and in executive leadership without connections, but only grace. I am grateful to God.
Now I am healthy, happy & living comfortably. My blood pressure today is 122/79. The horrible years of being on chronic medication are behind me.
These are the best years of my adult life. I cannot wait to be fully 60 & to meet the life that still waits after 60.
Grace has been sufficient.

Good morning 5am club. Maturity is raising your emotional intelligence so that toxic people can't play mind games with you. Maturity doesn’t mean age. It means sensitivity, manners and how you react.🌺

Zimbabwean journalist and political prisoner Blessed “Dhara” Mhlanga is back in court today for a third bail application.
The state initially claimed it needed only 14 days to gather evidence for its fabricated charges when he first appeared in court—today marks day 39 of his unconstitutional detention.
The state is now asking for more time. As we said from day one, this is nothing but political persecution.
Please assist his family by donating through this GoFundMe link: https://t.co/JJmurGXmu2

On Friday, 23 February 2018, I received a phone call from a man who introduced himself as the newly appointed NPRC chairperson, Retired Judge Sello Nare. He told me he wanted to meet Meso to discuss a few things. We agreed to meet on Sunday 25 February in my office.
On Sunday, he was on time as agreed, and we briefly introduced him.(Picture was taken on this day in my office ) He said, 'Mfana, I have been appointed chairperson of the NPRC, and I will be going to Harare tomorrow.Besengizihlalalele eplazini mina these things ze technology I dont understand them , can you explain to me how social media works ? I tried my best, and with our limited time, I explained stuff about Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp to him. After 45 min or so, he said ah, Mfana, I am too old for this , I won't catch up on these things. I will take my grandson with me to Harare. He will be helping me. That Sunday, he told me that during Gukurahundi, he was a magistrate, and a number of times, he had to deal with Gukurahundi-related cases. We developed a very good relationship, and later that year, when I launched my Documentary on Gukurahundi, NPRC played a big role in making the event happen. The NPRC, under Nare's leadership, fought on my corner, and the event went ahead despite the challenges we faced, including death threats and bureaucratic hurdles.
Occasionally I would meet the old man, and we talked about the challenges he faced in getting the programme off the ground. One of the time, he said one of these days, lizangitshayisa nge heart attack. Nare faced immense pressure from Politicians, civil society, security, spoilers and opportunists . But despite all these challenges, he was always a pleasant man. His resilience in the face of such pressure was truly inspiring. Under him, one or two exhumations were done around 2019 before the programme was stopped because of pressure from certain quarters.
Now that he is gone, I look back and realise we did not fully appreciate the man while he was still alive. His absence will be deeply felt, and his impact on our lives and the community is undeniable.
Mdala suhambile ungakangithengiseli amathokazi! .
A hero has exited the stage, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
Rest in Peace, Qhawe. You fought a good fight. #Asakhe
This is Collet Ncube, the magistrate used today by Mnangagwa’s despotic regime to deny bail to opposition leader Jameson Timba and 64 prodemocracy activists.
It is important to know who these accessories to oppression are, as one day they should be held accountable for their illegal actions!
RETWEET and make Collet Ncube very famous!
