@ma_gonzz@JeremyTate41 There are many jobs requiring/preferring any college degree. Graduates are well suited for any of those jobs as the college does a good job forming students' ability to think critically. It lacks in advanced mathematics or sciences so those fields require further study.
@ma_gonzz@JeremyTate41 To directly answer the question, my fellow alumni are in an amazingly wide range of fields. I know doctors, lawyers, dentists salesmen, investment brokers, priests, educators, a nuclear engineer, small business owners, and many others.
@ma_gonzz@JeremyTate41 The cost is currently about $30,000. With housing and meals, it comes to about $44,000. A high percentage of students receive financial aid through a work study program and grants. The college does a lot to make the education widely accessible.
@rollo_tumasi@JeremyTate41@the_culturist_ As a personal anecdote, I loved the curriculum. I felt it prepared me well for life and my chosen profession (attorney). I often thought it would be wonderful to go through the program again 10-20 years later.
@DD8gt@Leo9981247802@JeffAnderson_ It seems we agree that this is race based discrimination against Asians. Jeff Anderson implied it was discrimination against blacks. I am against racial discrimination. I think that you can achieve regardless of race.
@DD8gt@Leo9981247802@JeffAnderson_ I think there are things other than academics which can be proper considerations (e.g., evidence of character). Discrimination with regard to nationality happens with the national immigration policy. I am not okay with discrimination based on race. If you are, I guess we disagree
@DD8gt@Leo9981247802@JeffAnderson_ I think most people would like to see a merit based admission system. Those applicants best meet qualifications should be the ones admitted, not just those who meet minimum qualifications and possess other immutable characteristics that do not affect qualifications.
@DD8gt@Leo9981247802@JeffAnderson_ The statistic from Harmeet Dhillon says that, when of equal merit, black applicants is favored. Combined with Jeff Anderson's statistic, it suggests the black applicants are of lower academic merit on average. The analogy of white NBA players of lower merit being favored applies.
