I’m a man.
I enjoyed the movie because it shed light on exactly how incels like you think and act towards women.
Even after watching a movie where the plot revolves around an incel man destroying a woman’s life, you still try to blame women.
Nikki was the real victim, trapped and screaming for help from within her own body in Obsession.
From the night Bear gets up to meet with Sarah, only for the "real" Nikki to awake telling Bear to k*ll her and all Bear can say is, "Is it really that hard to be with me?"
Nikki regaining control briefly at Ian's party and her first instinct is to try and end it all
The poem she recites indicating she only ever saw Bear as a brother
The unnatural moving she does during their arguments
The horrifying screaming on the customer service phone call of her trapped soul
She is screaming for help, but Bear is too self-centered and wrapped up in wanting it to work out that he ignores her obvious cries for help.
I think this scene where Nikki waits for Bear was really successful in showing how the wish worked. Her being exists solely for loving him to the point where she doesn’t do anything but wait for him. Also I’m still wondering how tf she made that face 😭

Nikki Was Begging for Help the Entire Time
The scariest part of the film isn't the monster. It's Nikki desperately trying to tell Bear she's trapped.
She appears as an old woman while crying in the corner.
She briefly regains control at Ian's party and tries to escape.
She recites a poem that implies she only saw Bear as a brother.
She moves unnaturally during their argument, as if fighting against something inside her.
And during the customer service call, her screams are so horrifying that Bear hangs up.
The tragedy is that Nikki keeps reaching out for help and Bear never truly listens.
This scene is a beautiful example of Hitchcockian suspense. You know something is gonna happen. You just don't know when or how. And then it happens and you still weren't ready.
