White privilege is on display like never before in the U.S. Capitol.
If these people were Black. . .well, we all know what would be happening right now to them.
Just like students take quarterly assessments. Do we conduct quarterly assessments on organizational practices, norms, strategies, structures, assessments, and traditions. #reflectivepractices#notjusteducation#allorganization
I model this with my daughter every day. She knows I don’t know everything. But she knows I’m curious and will use resources around me to find an answer. 📖
Schools should rethink the notion of knowledge. Yes. Facts are important. Now more than ever.
But when you consider kids will never remember everything they’re told; suddenly teaching kids where to find answers becomes more important than the answers themselves.

Great K-12 Catalyst forum today @KickUpEd
I'm appreciating two powerful questions asked by Dr. Luvelle Brown - What conflict will you engage in? What privileges will you give up? in order to create a more equitable, culturally responsive education system. @luvelleb
As a parent, I can't say I disagree with this one. "...schools should prioritize “providing access to consistent, high-quality remote or online learning.” https://t.co/v15LRfWYMC #chalkbeat#wecandobetter
We need to support our public school systems nationwide RIGHT NOW. Districts are working overtime to ensure the best for the community and students, the last thing they need is the threat of losing funding.
"...districts (have) an opportunity to reimagine what’s possible with (PD)... how it can be more streamlined and cost-effective... how it can be made more meaningful, motivating, equitable, and collaborative... and truly drive continuous improvement."
