@DeniseDSLu This graph appears to be "% change from prior year" not "death rate above and below normal". Why? (1) The death rate in 1919 was likely above normal, but this graph shows a huge negative number. (2) The data points for 1918 and 2020 match the "% change" numbers in the article.
