An angry ocean today! These waves are insane. Typically a picture does not do it justice, but I think this one does. Wow. Lecount Hollow Beach - Wellfleet, MA. #Lee@JimCantore @SurfSkiWeather @ericfisher@Ginger_Zee#StormHour
Incredible consensus on Hurricane #Lee now with the GFS and ECMWF. GFS is slightly faster, but both show near exact same size, intensity, and location. The time to prepare in New England, Downeast Maine in particular, is today
The big story continues to be the rain. Another rare moderate risk for excessive rain issued not only for today, but for Sunday too! Wow. Sunday actually looks more impressive with the PWATs off the charts. Moderate risk means widespread heavy rain possible with numerous flash floods likely. Very difficult to predict who gets hit and how much. But expect showers/storms with torrential rain. Some spots grab an inch+ of rain quick. Most activity east this morning….then a lull…inland to the north and west later this am and this afternoon…and that activity will slowly push farther south and east later today.
Saturday just isolated pop ups. Not a bad day.
Sunday widespread.
It's the sounding everyone has been waiting for! We recorded the lowest 850mb temperature observed at GYX tonight of -35.5C. While we can't definitively say whether or not Mt Washington was in the stratosphere, the tropopause started just below the summit. #NHwx#MEwx #
Billerica Girls XC finished the season undefeated at 10-0 and became MVC Champions with a win against a tough Central Catholic team today, 27-28.
Congrats to the girls team on a great regular season!
Teachers! This one is for you, for always finding the strength to give young people hope, even in the most difficult circumstances. Thank you.

You know it's an epic storm when legendary research meteorologist Dr. Howie Bluestein from @UofOklahoma shows up with @raxpol and weather radar expert Dr. David Schvartzman.
They were observing the #Blizzard and supporting the NASA @SnowIMPACTS campaign.
