Crypto Privacy era is Powering the next phase of innovations in web3

I spent hours researching and reading tons of articles on privacy sector

Here's everything I learned

To start off, "Privacy = Control"
Privacy isn't about hiding. It’s about protecting.

The blockchain was designed to be transparent, giving room for veracity (truth). Users can access blockchain explorers and trace txn from sender to the receiver on any chain.

Despite this, the identity of the wallet owners remains hidden, making the txn anonymous

However, in understanding Privacy Sector I realized there is too much transparency on-chain

There's a good case scenario to this and a bad case scenario.

Don't get me wrong, let me explain

Transparency is why we have good metrics of on-chain data available on the blockchain ledger. Plus, it's also a mainstream reason why certain institutions have refused to build on-chain due to exposure to private data.

Privacy fixes this... how?

By introducing the use of zero knowledge proofs.

A more realistic example is this:

Just like test networks before goin mainstream ( mainnet), they would be a duration set aside for backtestung the network with millions of users to ensure trust before adoption on mainnet

The same goes with Crypto Privacy in other to get institutions in for the blown mass adoption a proper path of privacy needs to be introduced

Privacy = Control, it prioritize users by removing the need of any intermediaries.

@a16zcrypto published a great piece that dives into privacy on blockchains:

One of the myths gave spotlights on how zk proofs is the best tool for users privacy

⪼Vitalik gave a thesis on why he support privacy
" Privacy is a guarantor of decentralization"
In real sense it means: whoever has the information has the power.

More reason I started off by saying " Privacy = Control"
