HISD students need stronger, more transparent leaders. There are 209k students that should be the priority and we need to remember that come Nov. 5th.

@KariLeon14 Actually we're a diverse group of parents and constituents from HISD schools all over Houston. I recommend you read @houston_gps Equity Policy to understand our perspective before you discredit the work we are doing to get more UNIQUE parent voices at the table.

Parker, I'm so glad I had the chance to meet you today (and for the dance party)! Keep on dreaming big for yourself...and maybe one day I'll proudly look up at a portrait of you!
I think it’s pretty inappropriate for u to work for US gvt in an official capacity, travel around serving as a US representative, oh, & ostensibly be there precisely to work on women’s issues, and take umbrage at a question directly affecting women. Give me a damn break. Eyeroll. https://t.co/DFaEFRqypU
I am always happy to provide any information people need about where to go vote, what their rights are at the polls, and how to find nonpartisan information about candidates! https://t.co/FXYAXlHS3R
@BakerRipley hosted "Art of the Vote" tonight and brought students, neighbors, and candidates together for thoughtful discussions around art and their community. A big thanks to @MFAH for training our East End students and the collaboration. https://t.co/jmQHJluxKp

Schools should be safe heavens for immigrant students and families. We must stop this school-to-deportation pipeline.

@FIELHouston Hi @LiraSerg, @Santos4hisd, @hmfv1 Does HISD have a policy preventing HISD students from being turned over to Harris County? As Harris County cooperates with ICE, this type of policy needs to be clear, or more students can be deported. Please keep our kids safe.
