@RedCrossNCGC Your staff does realize I’m not leaving my two kids, driving twenty minutes, and giving up a pint of my cmv negative blood because I want free cookies, right? Because with nobody here waiting the lecture on being late was a bit much.
Every time the @RedCross calls, they lecture me on the severity of blood shortages. Every time I take an hour out of my day to donate, they lecture me on being late.
@MDStateParks are there any plans to streamline the ticketing/entry system at places like Patapsco so the line to get in isn’t 30+ minutes from when the park opens?
“I’m making a story about llamas. I’m starting by making a story map because once you make a story map it pretty much tells you the story.” I don’t remember 1st grade being this complex….
Ahead of full federal authorization, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan Friday gave the OK for all vaccinated adults over age 18 to get COVID-19 booster doses, saying more coverage is needed ahead of the upcoming winter holidays.

I’ve had two doctor’s appointments today. Neither building has a bike rack anywhere near it. Seems like an easy way to encourage people to get some of that exercise my doctors are always talking about….
Nothing has made it so clear as to whom the majority of the burden of this pandemic has fallen on in hetero marriages than the speed at which my mom friends mobilized to get our kids appointments while our spouses suggest that the location or time we have chosen is inconvenient.
I guess I just feel like if @RedCross is going to call me more than once a day telling me how important it is to donate, they should explore a 10 minute grace period. Or just make the last appointment 7:45 and have a 15 minute grace period.
For the record, I had also done RapidPass, and I can generally finish donating in 10 minutes so I would have been out of there same time as everyone else.
I realize staff work hard and deserve to go home on time, but I really don’t think they understand that donating involves taking at least an hour out of our days and that some of us aren’t able to put our donation above everything else we have happening.
I went to donate blood today and apparently @RedCross has a 5 minute grace period for appointments and I was 7 minutes late (I didn’t account for the rain when I left) so I’ll need to reschedule. Y’all are the ones calling me 3x a day citing emergency blood shortages but ok.
Disappointed that @striderite ‘s new adaptable collection accommodates only wider widths. A lot of kids disabilities manifest with very narrow or small feet.
@masknerd I have an almost 3 year old with microcephaly and mild facial dismorphia and have been struggling to find small enough masks. Definitely going to try your 2-4 rec!
