From #CycloneFreddy to #ElNiño , and from #CycloneJude to #cholera outbreaks and other shocks, #Malawi has encountered a series of challenges in recent years. In response, Malawi's @DisasterDept has responded with partners including #UNICEF to address these challenges.

During the meeting with UNICEF Representative @PennyUnicef and DoDMA Commissioner Rev. Moses Chimphepo yesterday, one thing is clear: a strengthened early warning systems, child-centered emergency responses, and stronger partnerships are essential to keeping Malawi’s children safe and to recover from disasters. 💙
