@Calantropical@YakovMerkin But yet do themselves because hiding it and berating others for doing the same thing is considered better tham being honest about it
@Stxrboy75 'Nice one' and they're just waving away the actual racism and ignorance that runs deep in Japanese society by saying "Not all Japanese! Please forgive me specifically!" Classic Japanese move to sweep things under the rug!
@TheNothing16606@madgraphty0@tripper688@jojogiogio1234@Fac3s_ Ppl who say "I wish the West wasn't so individualistic" doesn't realize that conformity is inherently selfish. They conform because it's easy and when it is not expected they will not help others (nobody donates or gives up seats in JP for example). Conformity replaces compassion
@TheNothing16606@madgraphty0@tripper688@jojogiogio1234@Fac3s_ It's straight up JP culture. Being "discreet" as in having double standards and continuing to pirate it secretly while condemning other people is considered better than being open about it and setting space for positive change like official translation. Conformist culture.
@sweetdandelium I have a burning hatred for JP and JP ppl bc of my background but still wanted to become better. I've been attending Quaker Meetings which advocates for peace and all that and that is what I have been thinking about. Another reason why bombing civilians is never the answer
@sweetdandelium I say this as a resentful unconventional Jap, tbh the current average joe's mentality still reflects imperialism back then & it makes me think they really deserved it. But then I think the bombs made them "victims" and that's why they never regretted their actions & mindset.
