@grayhoodie@JakeLobin The thing to really worry about is that SB 302 gives state-level officials the authority to usurp the powers of county election boards — allowing the Republican-dominated state government to potentially disqualify voters in Democratic-leaning areas.
@Benjami42105011@RepAndyBiggsAZ@mtgreenee My goodness, are you saying that immigrants are vermin? What was this country built upon? Why are those on the right so afraid of everyone in the country exercising their democratic right to vote? The only way Republicans win is to suppress the vote.
@mtgreenee@staceyabrams Thank you, @staceyabrams, for helping to educate and raise the consciousness of not only Georgians but Americans regarding systemic racism and the power that each individual has to effect change. You have helped so many to find their personal power and you are a hero ♥️.
@GustavoSchnabel@HawleyMO Asylum seekers are putting pressure on the US border but there there is a reason why they are here. It is not because of Joe Biden like the Republicans would like people to believe. Helping those who seek asylum and mitigating reasons they need to should be what the agenda is.
@black1r1sh @HawleyMO I can see that in your case, this may hit closer to home. Still, immigrants are who built our country. In reality, we should be trying to find solutions not only for our immigration policies but also for those things that make it necessary for others to seek asylum here.
@black1r1sh @HawleyMO Elected officials are supposed to represent their constituents. If they were doing their job appropriately they would not be spending so much time trying to whip up anti-immigration sentiment through fear mongering.
@147Operation@RepMoBrooks I was thinking the same thing! It's one thing to lose an election, it's another thing to pretend like you didn't and spur a rebellion based on lies and manipulation. That is what I would call immoral.
@FFreep@ScottsQuest@newsmax The way I see it, Republicans are trying very hard to politicize what is going on at the border. Smoke and mirrors. Makes it look like they are doing something other than blocking help for their constituents.
@newsmax@JohnFBachman Don't use young school aged children as an excuse for your agenda to suppress the vote. It is not about race, it is not about politics, it is about people trying to restrict access to the polls for all.
