@Grizzard_Goober@SportsStatsFan When you start using words like LeTarded and LeBronda, it’s a sign you’re losing the debate. You want to compare stats? You better start coming up with more adolescent slurs because you’re going to need them.
@SportsStatsFan@Grizzard_Goober You really struggle with the fact that Jordan will lose his perch as the GOAT. Counseling is available, I suggest you get some. LBJ was freaking 22 years old and had total garbage for a lineup, I don’t care how easy it was. It took MJ 7 years and a much better lineup and coach.
@KDH68760 He’s not the first alumn to say these things. I get that he’s passionate about it, that also isn’t rare. The college football landscape has changed a lot since he played, and preaching that contemporary Huskers need to be like them does no good. It’s just noise
@stepper_7 So this proves what I’ve thought about many “MJ is the GOAT” believers. They are irrational. It’s like putting your fingers in your ears and yelling so you don’t have to hear the argument. No way you can have a rationale discussion with this mindset.
@steven_sipple@Sean_Callahan Winning in Peter’s era was different than it is now. One wasn’t better than the other, just different. I hate the phrase “get back to…” Mario Cristobal addressed this mentality over and over again this past year. When you hang on to the past, you’ll not be successful.
@HawkeyeHouston@vancemeek He had the same reputation as Dominique Wilkins until he won a title, but perhaps you were too young to remember or weren’t paying attention. Hindsight has a way of creating mythology. Nothing was made up. He was 1-9 in the playoffs until Pippen and Jackson showed up. Check it.
@24Dparks No. Specifically to your two year reference, in 2024 - his playoff averages were 27 points, 9 assist and 8 rebounds, in 2025 it was 25, 9 and 6. This year, 23, 8 and 7. That’s not noticeable
@vancemeek He was 1-9 in playoff games prior to Pippen. He didn’t win titles before or after Pippen and Jackson. Before that, he had a reputation as a stat padder at the expense of team success. He didn’t become a complete (great) player until Pippen and Jackson.
@whateverbs99 First, they didn’t “almost blow it”. They best them by 20 on their court in game 6. And you’re really going to play the injury card when LA didn’t have Reaves for 4 games, and Doncic for the whole series, and have the oldest lineup in the playoffs? That’s just stupid.
@DiLyrikalKilla@JonnyRoot_ Your comment doesn’t make sense. Being the greatest player doesn’t mean your team can beat the best team. Remember, it took Jordan 6 years to reach and win the finals.
