Tony Blair’s catastrophic decision to invade Iraq cost thousands upon thousands of lives.
He shouldn’t be anywhere near the Middle East, let alone Gaza.
It is not up to Blair, Trump or Netanyahu to decide the future of Gaza. That is up to the people of Palestine.
I have had the opportunity to read both the reports from @btselem & @PHRIsrael a bit more closely. The @btselem report documents Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and Israel’s coordinated, deliberate action to destroy Palestinian society.
The medical-legal analysis published by @PHRIsrael documents Israel’s deliberate destruction of the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip and other systems critical for the survival of the Palestinian civilian population.
This report affirms the findings of @drtlaleng Mofokeng — the South African medical doctor serving as the @UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health — argued at the @UN_HRC that the health system in Gaza had been “completely obliterated” and that the right to health had been “decimated at every level.” The objective faces are on the table.
“Today people are not surviving in Gaza,” says @ochaopt office head @_jwhittall . “Those that aren’t being killed with bombs and bullets are slowly dying.”

Between October 2023 and October 2024, SA exported more than a million tons of coal to Israel. Cutting this supply would significantly hinder Israel’s war effort. https://t.co/F3oSVLzgel
BREAKING: The British Trades Union Congress, representing 48 affiliated unions with a total of about 5.5 million members have unanimously passed a motion demanding an end to all arms trading with
Israel over the genocide in Gaza. #TUC2024
Palestinians thank Namibia for refusing docking for a vessel suspected of carrying military cargo for Israel!
Palestinians salute Namibia for denying port to the Kathrin, a ship widely suspected of carrying military material for Israel during its ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The Palestinian #BDS National Committee, the largest coalition in Palestinian civil society leading the global BDS movement, deeply appreciate the overwhelming solidarity of the people of Namibia and thanks its government for joining the ranks of countries that respect their obligations under the Genocide Convention by refusing to be complicit in the arms trade with Israel. The UN Human Rights Council has called on all state “to cease the sale, transfer and diversion of arms, munitions and other military equipment to Israel, the occupying Power”, particularly as Israel carries out a livestreamed genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza.
The Kathrin is still continuing its course, under the flag of Portugal. We renew our call on the people and civil society of Portugal to pressure their government to comply with international law by investigating and withdrawing the flag from the Kathrin.
We call on all port authorities and governments worldwide to follow Namibia’s example. Ending complicity in Israel’s atrocity crimes is a moral and legal obligation, not an act of charity.

“This is for Gaza.”
Shockat Adam, the newly elected independent MP for Leicester South, addressed the crowd, calling for unity and dedicating his win to Gaza. Adam has unseated Labour shadow cabinet minister Jon Ashworth.
8 people (2 state officials and 6 lawyers) will speak on behalf of South Africa today in its case at the ICJ.
I need people to also know and understand that they do so (with distinction) thanks to the hard work of many others.
Some named, most not.
Teamwork.
🤞🏾✨
Hearing a South African lawyer talking about the Nakba before the ICJ and need for accountability for genocide… truly amazing. Thank you South Africa 🇿🇦
The Amalek quote (a biblical injection to destruction) used by Benjamin Netanyahu is here. So are the others now being argued by Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi at the ICJ which amount to systematic dehumanisation of the Palestinian people.
The anti-boycott bill is an assault on Palestinian solidarity.
I would have voted against it, but I am at The Hague to support South Africa’s case against Israel.
This is a historic moment for humanity, and a wake-up call for political leaders letting a genocide unfold.
Thembeka just gave the FULL LIST OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE for inciting genocide...🚨
From the highest to the lowest. He names them !! #receipts
