@OldRoberts953 The ‘she lived in a council house’ is always funny. In the NE, many people lived in a council house. There were lovely council estates that most of my family lived in.
When I was 5, my mother decided to sell our house to move into a council house - anyone could do that.
@John32926220@SuzyJourno The jury would have been told. Most of the evidence given would not have been reported because it would reveal their identity.
@BridgeBooksDro1 What is more galling is that he knew he was guilty, but put these women through a trial to try to get away with it.
Christian? No, just a man who hid his abuse by pretending to be a Christian.
@sprolliehouse@GillianKeel2 Exactly, all my foster rescues have been wonderful, just not for people who don’t want an old dog, don’t want to sort separation anxiety, or the cost of very regular vet bills. It just meant I kept them and had the pleasure of them.
@GillianKeel2@sprolliehouse Most of my cocker spaniel rescues were originally fosters that just stayed. I used to foster old dogs and ones with medical conditions that I could afford to pay for.
@MissLauraMarcus@Irina_exh I’m in the same position. Partner is 12 years older. No children, and my brother also has no children.
I’m thinking of adopting a family to take care of me in my old age with the benefit of an inheritance 😁
@MissLauraMarcus@Irina_exh I’m 60, now in good health since weight loss and gym, but don’t really want to live past 80. Family history suggests I won’t, but I do not want to live being infirm.
@lascapigliata8 He was with 2 carers which suggests he was already under various orders in a care home. He may have been released on bail, but it will not be free to walk the streets.
@NABurkinshaw It sounds very much as if he was already in a secure care home, but on a day out with carers who didn’t bother to care for him and anyone else around him.
I’d love to read the risk assessment for this outing.
@LarryHealey4@Perky_43 I’m happy to pay it for every day he will live in total fear. The death penalty would be too quick.
Prison for men who do these crimes is far worse than a quick death.
@latsot@WrathQueenof In the old days, the Northern Echo was a brilliant paper. Unfortunately, most regional papers have been taken over and have no idea nor interest in local news.
@JournalistJill@pequod51 He is clearly a total narcissist, because anyone with any self awareness into what he did would have killed themselves as soon as the baby died.
@JournalistJill@pequod51 He won’t feel guilt, but he will feel total fear every day. Prisons don’t have the staff to protect them and even the other sex offenders and multiple murders he is housed with, will find what he did to a baby absolutely abhorrent.
