Staff from across the Service came together yesterday to observe a minutes silence to remember our friend and colleague Steve Simmons who passed away last week after a short illness.
Steve’s family joined firefighters at Bury St Edmunds to mark the occasion. ♥️🚒
@BaberghDistrict @SudburyTC@suffolkcc Some business owners at Old Market Place Sudbury continuing to flout the law, hundreds of fag butts littered week after week. We have swept into pile, PLEASE can you dispose of this health hazard @EnvAgency
Our thoughts immediately turn this morning to the firefighters reported missing in Beirut.
Solidarity with them, their families and all emergency service personnel at the scene. You are doing incredible work in the hardest of circumstances.

If this crisis is doing one thing, it’s vindicating what we knew all along: that the low-paid aren’t low skilled, that key workers aren't the rich who clean us out, but the ones who keep us clean and safe. When this crisis subsides, let’s remember who kept this country running.
Firefighters aren’t afraid to stand up and be counted, and in this crisis it is no different.
We’ve reached agreement with @NFCC_FireChiefs & fire service employers on the role firefighters can play in response to #COVID19
Together, we shall overcome.

We're calling for firefighters to receive priority testing for coronavirus
Hundreds are self-isolating, potentially passing on infection or staying away from work unnecessarily
We must avoid firefighter numbers dropping to dangerously low levels
#COVID19

Firefighters carry that weight while tackling incidents, day in day out. Get yourself firefighting fit & you might stand a chance next time https://t.co/NtB11vfWlL
We are deeply saddened to confirm the death of one of our firefighters whilst on duty. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues - particularly at @Wton_fire - at this difficult time.

Crews from Haverhill and Bury attended an animal rescue this morning. Khan, a 32 year old horse had fallen in his stable. Great work with some excellent equipment from all those attending resulted in a successful outcome. @SuffolkFire
Our Service has been inspected by @HMICFRS and is rated as GOOD 👍.
