@_jacobmjones In the KC area, it's split. You'll definitely find boomers from Parkville or Olathe who say downtown for anything south of the river, but younger people and those who live closer tend more to mean actual downtown or an adjacent neighborhood like the River Market or Quality Hill.
@Griggor2@SenatorLuma To white people from rural Nebraska, KC and Omaha 100% are consciously black-identified. I think the other three tend to get lumped in more subconsciously as just "big cities" rather than overtly black-identified.
