@CELEST1ALB0UND I’m not undermining him, I am a random twitter guy. The “game” is actively being moderated and capitulating on demands, esp to the police state !! There are numerous campaigns wrt bds in nyc that he could support - and time will tell but atm strong left opposition is needed
@CELEST1ALB0UND He has actively compromised on it. He has a Zionist police commissioner, he has done nothing about the land sales, he has recognized Israel’s right to exist, and has constantly collaborated with Zionists. It’s not about “satisfying” me it’s about what he does as mayor
The pathetic nature of this statement aside - it is v telling that he didn’t even do his appeal to intl law / universal law shtick and mention that the ICC is actively petitioning to get an arrest warrant for Smotrich. This man is not going to be arresting Nethayahu
Mayor Mamdani, who skipped the Israel Day Parade, which some called a Klan rally, says he is “offended” by the participation of far-right Israeli minister Bezalel Smotrich and other ministers in the parade, calling it “a vision of annihilation” and “a complicity in genocide.”
He added that their politics show little regard for “the sanctity of children in Gaza.”
@CELEST1ALB0UND I don’t think it’s bad to ask for more on this position. It’s the fundamental one that should not be compromised on. I voted for him, and I look forward to holding him to his words.
@CELEST1ALB0UND I don’t know how it’s performative to demand him not compromise on genocide, which he will continue to due. A a letter or tweet is the minimum.
The fact he didn’t mention that the ICC is petitioning for an arrest warrant just shows how he’s gonna drop the intl law facade sadly
