Starmer's Parting Gift: 26 Lords for the Losers

Keir Starmer lost. The voters rejected him. His "change" was a lie, his "integrity" a joke, his government a disaster. So like every failed establishment parasite before him, he stuffs the House of Lords with cronies on his way out. Twenty-six new peers. Unelected. Unaccountable. Unwanted. Including the worst of the worst: Sadiq Khan.

Sadiq Khan. The weasel who covered up industrial-scale child rape in London. While thousands of girls were drugged, raped, and sold by grooming gangs, Khan looked the other way. Denied it existed. Branded reports "false and malicious." Gaslighted victims while the Met Police now investigate 4,000 cases he pretended weren't there. This is not incompetence. This is complicity.

Before he was a failed mayor, Khan was a lawyer for terrorists. Represented 9/11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui. Shared stages with convicted terrorists who trained the 7/7 bombers. Admitted representing "unsavoury individuals." His family links to extremist group Al-Muhajiroun. Khan has spent his career defending the indefensible and failing the British people.

As mayor, Khan turned London into a surveillance state. ULEZ cameras every fifteen seconds. £322 million extracted from working class drivers in fines. More money from penalties than actual charges. While he frolicked on a billionaire's superyacht, burning more fuel in a day than those he punished use in a year. The hypocrisy is nauseating.

And the crime? Over 1,000 Londoners murdered on his watch. 14,000 knife offences annually. Streets soaked in blood while Khan obsessed over revenue cameras. The grieving step-mother of Jodie Chesney was right: Khan normalised knife crime. He drained every penny from the public and delivered corpses in return.

This is who Starmer rewards. A man who covered up rape gangs. A man who represented terrorists. A man who punished the poor while partying with billionaires. A man who failed on every metric that matters to ordinary people.

Starmer knows exactly what he is doing. This is not an honours list. This is a protection racket. Stuff the Lords with loyalists who will block reform, protect failure, and ensure the establishment keeps its grip long after the voters have rejected them.

Reform UK and Restore Britain would tear this down. Abolish the Lords. End the appointments. Stop failed politicians from installing their cronies in power for life.

Starmer lost. Khan failed. And now both want to rule from the red benches forever. Not a chance. The British people are done with this racket.

In June 2023 he explicitly ruled out ever indulging in a resignation honours list (BBC Radio 4 Today).
Today he’s marked his resignation with 21 peerages, overwhelmingly public-sector/legal jobsworths. Barely a single wealth creator among them.
Classic line up of the New Establishment which has run the country under Labour and Tory governments for the past three decades and is now firmly in control. Largely (if not entirely) with the following characteristics:
*Career almost entirely in public sector, often taking salaries from several sinecures at once as they work up the greasy taxpayer-funded pole.
*Associated with various ‘right-on’ causes.
*Largely middle class, London chattering class, Oxbridge well represented (of course).
*Fashionable left but not too left. Good mainstream Labour links.
Thus is the antediluvian House of Lords perpetuated by the Left as well as the Right as a comfortable state-funded retirement home for the well-connected ‘good and great’ past their sell-by date — when it should simply be abolished.
