@AlanVRK That's world history in a nutshell. People who are obsessed with revenge, or see it as a sport, ruin things for everyone else. At this point what I want is for the rule of law to overcome the rule of brutality.

@AlanVRK The fact that nobody behaved seems to me to be the key to the whole place and its recent history. There's a lot of blame for everyone to enjoy putting on each other, and I verily believe a lot of them enjoy it.

Centuries of colonization, bloody battles, etc. end in European technical ownership of the area. After WW2, empires fall out of fashion, and the UN decides the Jews can have a state. Everyone around them declares war. Israel wins.
