I think when people express that exercise helps depression they might not realize that a lot of fat people heard that a lot while they desperately needed medication and therapy that was being denied to them, and that can make some of us really touchy

So long as they don't account for stigma, discrimination, dieting + more, attributing an association between weight and health to cause is flawed. It is well established: treat people poorly, disease risk increases. Factor that in when interpreting latest cancer/"obesity" study.
