Joly just told regular Canadians
how they can help.
Buy Canadian.
Look for the label.
Put pressure on the U.S.
Protect jobs.
Cute lecture.
Start with the Prime Minister.
Carney’s disclosed holdings:
91 percent of the companies on the list
were American.
A handful were Canadian.
His old shop moved its head office
to New York.
Family ties run south too.
That’s the man now telling you
your grocery cart is a weapon.
Then there’s Trudeau.
Same party.
Same lecture for years.
Buy Canadian.
Skip the Florida trip.
Booyah patriotism.
Meanwhile he’s doing the U.S. high life
with an American pop star
while taxpayers still cover the security.
So which is it, Minister?
Does “buy Canadian”
apply to the people running the country?
Or only to the people paying for it?

Carney says Canada entered these negotiations with “the best overall trade terms.”
Canada still doesn't have a deal.
Carney congratulates his team for “significant progress.”
Canadians still aren't being told what was conceded to get it.
Carney says we're “moving towards an agreement.”
We've been moving towards one for months.
Carney promises the “best terms” for our strategic sectors.
Steel, aluminum, autos, lumber and other Canadian industries have spent months paying the price while he negotiates them.
Carney promises “greater certainty” about our future trading relationship.
His announcement doesn't actually tell Canadians what that future relationship is.
The pattern is clear.
Carney keeps announcing progress.
Canadians keep waiting for the results.
Statement from ordinary Canadians:
We sit here dumbfounded.
Our own government treats us like children who cannot handle the truth. They give us word salad while the United States publishes the actual commitments in black and white. Dairy. Alcohol. Vehicles. Revenue sharing on a bridge we paid for. Details we learn first from Washington, not from Ottawa.
This is not a one-off. It has been relentless for years — COVID, ArriveCAN, SNC-Lavalin, the green funds, immigration numbers, the Gordie Howe Bridge, and now this. Scandal after scandal. Deflection after deflection. Almost never a clean admission or full disclosure.
The result is simple and sad: a growing number of us now place more practical trust in what the Americans put on the public record than in what our own government tells us. Not because we prefer the United States. Because trust in Ottawa has been completely exhausted.
We are not asking for miracles. We are asking to be treated like adults. Tell us the real terms. Stop the smoke. Stop the soft language. Stop deciding how much transparency we can “safely handle.”
Until that changes, the distance between citizens and this government will only grow. And that is entirely of their own.
More like the propaganda arm of the Liberal government than an independent press corps. When expectations need lowering, Liberal failures need explaining away, or Poilievre needs attacking, much of the Ottawa media seems remarkably willing to carry the message.
CUSMA is too important for spin. Canada needs preferential access to the U.S. market, higher productivity, more investment and a government focused on competitiveness instead of managing the narrative.
To the Liberal government and Prime Minister Carney:
We are the people who get up every day and actually work for a living. Two incomes in most households just to keep the lights on, the mortgage or rent paid, and food on the table. We are not on the receiving end of the programs you keep announcing. We are the ones paying for them.
Our expectations are simple:
• Get a real trade deal with the United States that protects Canadian jobs in auto, steel, aluminum, manufacturing, farming, and the supply chains that keep this country running.
• Stop treating the working middle as an afterthought while you chase green announcements, international prestige, and long-term ideological goals.
• Recognize that over-regulation, high taxes, energy costs, and years of weak investment have already left too many businesses hanging by a thread. More tariffs on top of that will break them.
• Put the interests of the people who generate the tax revenue ahead of the desire to look tough or to protect every sacred cow in the system.
What we are feeling is not mild disappointment. It is utter frustration.
You inherited and then deepened an industrial investment collapse. You watched capital leave the country. You kept expanding the public sector while the private sector that pays for it struggled. You talk about growth and then deliver technical recession and record-low machinery investment. And now, with a hard deadline hours away, the working public is left hoping you finally put aside your preferred agenda long enough to secure a deal that keeps plants open and people employed.
We do not need another announcement. We do not need more lectures about the long game. We need a government that understands the people who work for a living are not a talking point — they are the foundation. Act like it.
The clock is running. So is our patience.
@saskatchewan_in Operating outside editorial structures!? Like all MSM? Lies, ommisions, half truths. Accuracy? MSM wouldn't know what accuracy is if it slapped them in the face. They cannot be trusted to be truthful in reporting. @CTVNews@CBCNews
‼️ I don’t believe independent media is the problem. I think it's the competition that legacy media created by doing a piss-poor job of earning trust.
If mainstream news consistently gave Canadians the whole story without partisan framing, selective context and convenient omissions, people wouldn’t be wandering off looking for the half that somehow keeps falling off the newsroom desk.
And @CTV has some industrial-strength gall lecturing anyone about “editorial structures.”
This is the network that was forced to apologize after its own investigation found employees altered and manipulated Pierre Poilievre footage, creating a false impression of what he said. Some Canadians still repeat that falsehood as fact, even now today.
But thank heavens CTV had editors.🤦🏼♀️
Editors. Producers. Standards. Corporate oversight. The whole magnificent apparatus. And the manipulated clip aired anyway.
Independent media didn’t steal CTV’s audience. Legacy media drove people out looking for the rest of the story, and now has the bloody nerve to sneer at the people they found telling it.. You don't get to drive customers away and then lecture them about where they shop.
Earn them back. Don't be such a useless bunch of chumps.
