Please consider donating any amount you feel comfortable to our GoFundMe for the Comrade Center project.
We raised $40,000 within three months our first time around! Our next goal is raising at least $80,000 total after this second round of fundraising.

Almost an entire week later and not one single major Jewish American institutional org or elected official has publicly denounced this event that was sponsored by the Jewish Federation, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Jewish National Fund.
This week I voted NO on a bill to block universities who boycott Israel from receiving federal funding.
No university or student should be punished for refusing to support a foreign nation and a genocide.
This is what drives cynicism—the extent to which our nominally liberal party speaks in urgent moral tones about condemning critics of Israel but on the planet boiling, deaths from lack of healthcare or children slaughtered in Gaza it’s either support, limp handwringing or silence
@micahuetricht Micah: would you be willing to host a debate about this incoherent article? It’s important to discuss where it is making fine points and where it goes entirely off the rails. I think a good faith discussion would be illuminating for the left.
I am not persuaded by the argument I see often on the left that you have to essentially lie to people about your political commitments and affiliations to get them to your side. Whether it’s about being a socialist or about what needs to be done about policing. To me that betrays a sort of parochial view of the working class that infantilizes them and makes them out to be unable to comprehend concepts that Marxists should always believe they can handle and see value in.
This is a non-answer. Mamdani cannot arrest Netanyahu (The United States is not a party to the Rome Statute, foreign affairs are a federal matter, etc.) Moreover, as a sitting prime minister, Netanyahu has a strong claim to immunity ratione personae before U.S. courts.
If Mamdani wants to take tangible action within the bounds of his office, he could easily urge Attorney General and other relevant authorities to go after New York-registered tax-exempt organizations that funnel tens of millions of US dollars into Israeli settler expansion and violence every year (not niche, irrelevant orgs like Betar that are discredited by even the ADL, but consequential organizations like the Smotrich-founded Regavim, or the Israel Land Fund). Why won't he do that?
Private prisons making $1.4 billion charging corrupt ICE bureaucracy $307,000 “per bed” as top 15 cops in San Francisco make average of $700,000 is why shifting resources from systems of incarceration to systems of care is one of the most popular policies in 40 years of polling.
Bill Maher praised the 9/11 hijackers while bodies were still warm under rubble and none of the 900 centrist democrats who frequent his dopey show ever have to disavow him, nor are they asked about it incessantly, because hes a reliable propagandist for zionism and US imperialism
can you imagine a world where msnbc , cnn and fox news all complained about charlie kirk stumping for republican candidates & how this would hurt the republican party with moderate voters?
Enough with the backroom scheming.
If @realDonaldTrump is serious about intervening in the mayoral race, he should come to New York City and debate me directly.
The other day I had a conversation with Jackson Hinkle on his show. The show has now been published.
I regret the conversation for several reasons:
1. Because I did not properly understand the political vitriol that has been spread through the United States within the left by the emergence of the what has been called the ‘American Communist Party’;
2. Because I was uncomfortable with the questions that tried to make the case that the left should not champion the fights for basic human dignity (such as around the issue of racism and of sexual discrimination), when I – in fact – believe in the fundamental right to human dignity, for the emancipation of all of our humanity;
3. Because I feel that these ‘arguments’ are defined by the internet and frame the issue of human dignity in a very wrong and malicious way (I am happy to discuss homosexuality and Marxism, but do not accept the view that the socialist projects in the poorer nations have a ‘conservative’ culture that is homophobic – China decriminalised homosexuality in 1997 and Cuba produced a most liberated Family Law in 2022 through a general referendum process).
I am always happy to speak anywhere and with anyone, but I dislike being trapped into conversations that are framed in a malicious way and are not genuine about building the socialist left in the widest possible manner.

the genocide that israel has enacted on Gaza over the last 2 years is the worst mass atrocity of the 21st century. the evil that it has wrought on the people of Gaza is beyond anyone’s worst imagination. human beings were not meant to know such evil exists let alone experience it
"Was Israel just supposed to do nothing after 10/7?"
Was Palestine just supposed to do nothing after 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977
I’ve explained to people the reason cradle Catholics like me can’t stand converts is that they bring their former (usually) evangelical BS to our rituals & completely reject “good works” which is a core tenet of Catholicism that makes us social justice minded which they reject
Witnessing the catastrophic hunger and suffering of civilians, especially children, women, the sick and elderly, in Gaza has been heartbreaking. The crisis in Gaza must be met with an immediate and drastic surge in life-saving resources, such as desperately needed food, water, and medicine–including therapeutic foods for those suffering from severe malnutrition. It is our collective moral duty to ensure that humanitarian relief reaches those who need it most urgently.
The strategy of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has not worked. Proven methods to get humanitarian aid to those in need while preventing diversion to Hamas must be used to flood the zone now. Every moment of delay will cost lives and cause irreparable harm to the health of children, pregnant women, and other civilians.
We must do all we can to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as part of the strategy to save lives, decrease Hamas’s influence and capabilities, release all remaining hostages, strengthen Israel’s security, and ultimately end this war. These goals are not mutually exclusive, rather they go hand-in-hand.
