Israel can use America's help but doesnt need it. The gulf countries need it. notice that during the last war Israel got less missile's then the UAE. why? UAE is closer and was seen as having a weaker air defense. Finally we always come back to the real reasons the U.S is in the middle east. Nothing to do with Israel. they are their to protect global oil supply.

Israel doesnt have to open the straght. its not Israel's problem. Thats something the global community cares about. Yes. israel can destroy Iran itself. Everyone know's its childs play to take out Iran's oil and remaining industrial capacity. Will that create civil war there? perhaps. worsen oil supply for the rest of the world for a while: for sure. If you want Israel to suffer so that the rest of the world can have a few extra points of GDP. If so maybe ask nicely.
