I was always stunned by the lunacy of the Abraham Accords from an Emirati perspective.
The UAE's conflict with Iran is far more resolvable than Israel's conflict with Iran. By joining the Abraham Accords and explicitly becoming a member of Israel's anti-Iran bloc, the UAE essentially attached itself to Israel's conflict with Iran - even though Israel is 1000 miles from Iran, while the UAE is only 50 miles from Iran's shores.
The UAE made itself a frontline state in Israel's fight with Iran.
Abu Dhabi is now paying the price for this mistake. Geography is ensuring that the key decisions are made elsewhere - while it pays the highest price.

🚨 BREAKING: Iranian media released anime-style footage said to depict the final moments of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei before his assassination.
A survey by the Pew Research Center found that in the 24 countries surveyed, more than half of the people in 20 countries have a negative view of Israel.
The top three countries are:
Turkey🇹🇷 :93%
Indonesia🇮🇩:79%
Japan🇯🇵 :79%
Netanyahu in three frames:
To Iranians, he speaks of “freedom”.
To Americans, he warns of Iran's “nuclear threat".
To his Zionist audience, he calls Iranians "Amaleks".
Deception based on the geography of the audience!
Well .. While you’re shivering in a basement shelter waiting for the next siren 🤣
I’m on my porch sipping karak tea, watching our brave men and women take down every last one of those. That’s how it feels.
How’d you like them apples?

🇦🇪 Epstein Files Rock the UAE’s Elite
A UAE online influencer is seen in a new video urging followers not to engage with the “Epstein Island scandals.” A good Muslim, he says, ignores gossip, doesn’t repeat everything he hears, and stays silent so falsehood dies. Interacting with the content only feeds the algorithm. Bury it and move on.
The fallout is already significant. Reporting by Drop Site and other outlets, drawing on recently surfaced leaks and the DOJ’s 2026 release of the Epstein files, is shaking the UAE’s corporate credibility and exposing elite backchannels that operated out of public view.
Here’s what to know:
▪️ DP World shake-up: Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem resigned as chairman and CEO on Feb. 13 after emails revealed extensive contact with Epstein, including a 2009 message referencing a “torture video.” Canada’s CDPQ suspended future investments pending clarification.
▪️ Strategic normalization role: Drop Site reporting shows Epstein helped cultivate early UAE-Israel commercial and political ties years before the Abraham Accords, using his network to connect Emirati and Israeli elites behind closed doors.
▪️ Diplomatic scrutiny: UAE diplomat Hind Al-Owais faced backlash over emails discussing introducing her 13-year-old sister to Epstein’s circle.
▪️Separate disclosures that fragments of the Kaaba’s Kiswa (from Islam’s holiest site) were allegedly shipped to Epstein’s Florida estate in 2017 also sparked outrage. A photo included in the disclosures shows Epstein and bin Sulayem examining a piece of the Kiswa laid out on the ground.
▪️ Backchannels exposed: Files show Epstein discussing with bin Sulayem meetings the latter had with figures such as Vladimir Putin and David Cameron. Epstein also had had insight into sensitive Gulf political discussions, including UAE-Qatar tensions.

⭕️ MUNICH | Palestinian political leader Mustafa Barghouti challenged the panel at the Munich Security Conference to answer who will hold Israel accountable for daily ceasefire violations, and how Trump’s new political body can be called a “Board of ‘Peace’” if it includes Israel’s prime minister (who was indicted by the ICC for war crimes), and “not a single Palestinian.”
The EU’s top foreign affairs minister, Kaja Kallas, replied that “nobody should be above the law,” saying that if international rules are breached, “you should also be held accountable, whoever you are.”
Yet the EU-Israel Association Agreement — which contains a human rights clause (Article 2) allowing suspension in case of violations — has not been enforced. Despite internal EU findings that Israel may be breaching its obligations, the bloc has failed to act. Sanctions have targeted a handful of “violent settlers” and figures like Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, but not the broader military and state structures responsible for mass murder and mass destruction in Gaza.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said “obviously it’s not a ceasefire if the guns haven’t ceased,” adding that “even if the killing has stopped, the dying hasn’t.” In reality, roughly 600 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,600 injured since the mid-October ceasefire announcement in continued Israeli strikes and shootings across Gaza.
U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz butted in, claiming more than 4,000 trucks per week have entered Gaza since Sharm el-Sheikh, adding “it’s not enough.” UN data shows closer to roughly 250 trucks per week — not 4,000.
