The AFL proposal to reduce half time is step one, of a two year plan to reduce the overall game time. In 2021, the AFL is proposing to reduce the length of quarters too @7NewsMelbourne @mmmhotbreakfast @triplemfooty

Again I think it’s fair to say there is widespread support. The fans are really central to this. The overall length is a bit long? A lot of kids / young supporters won’t wait in one spot - 3 hours start to finish.

@TomBrowne7 They should start AFL games at 7:30am rather than 7:30pm, that would save fans 12 hours. Better yet, start the 2021 season next year and save fans a whole year.

@ScorpioGCoast true - floor staff don't control the rosters. I get that retail is changing in a big way - but they need to work out what their product is going to be. Otherwise shoppers will decide it all for them.
