Learning CPR on manikins without breasts puts women’s lives at risk. Could not be more proud of @inquisitiveGyn who led this ground-breaking, life-saving research. https://t.co/yja2hnH7j8
12 months on from referendum day, I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the many Australians who put their shoulders to the wheel, helping us reach 6.2 million Yes votes. Be proud and continue to be loud in your solidarity.
I spotted this heart in a local Lifeline op-shop. The heart reminds me, as always, of the #UluruStatement from the Heart, & a constitutionally enshrined First Nations Voice to Parliament. Just because Australia voted no, doesn’t mean the ask has gone away. #StayTrueToUluru ❤️

“FACT NO 48. If you just want to advocate for peace, try to be a voice for reason, and don’t inflame or over-simplify an already chaotic, complicated, and deeply emotional issue. Help people find common ground and help bring the temperature down..…. without being an asshole.” 👇🏼
This is a v good summary of how Martha’s Rule should work for hospital patients who think they’re in trouble & not being listened to…

Time differences being what they are, Tuesday the 16th came earlier here in Australia. This is hardly significant in itself, but since this is the publication date of #Knife by Salman Rushdie, in this regard it’s of supreme importance. So I rushed to the #pottspointbookshop this morning, started reading, and couldn’t stop till I finished. It is an absolutely stunning piece of writing: the ugliest thing turned into the most beautiful. No words of mine can do it justice. But I do have to say that it’s such a profound love story, too .

Devastated to hear that brilliant, trail blazing Australian feminist & author #DaleSpender has died. I met her a few times & admired & liked her very much. She did much of importance but if all she’d done was write ‘Women of Ideas and What Men have Done to Them’ that’d be enough
Here's everything clinicians should know about helping patients navigate immediately available test results... by me & Dr. @elisecarey.
Big thanks to @CAPCpalliative for asking us to collaborate on this article.
