Being totally biased in a view is not problematic per se... everyone is entitled to cast stones in their glass house. The reader will judge on its merits. Not declaring all interests that may influence that view, however, could be viewed as intentionally deceitful to the reader
Australia does not not have a "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" doctrine found in the US.
Here Courts will consider:
-how relevant it's to case; importance of evidence; nature/gravity of offence; difficulty of obtaining the evidence without breaking the law.

Lying on application wouldnt've impact on premium pricing until claims time.
