Pretty bad.

I know it'll get better as we get more talents and all that, and they'll probably fix things as they go... I gave up on playing a tank. I don't want to have to wait through all that, or hate the people I'm playing with because they're just doing their job and I don't have the tools to do mine.

It's not a goalpost shift. That's where you're missing the point. You don't have the right to say whatever you want on other people's property. That's what WoW is. It's not yours. It's not mine. It belongs to Blizzard. Just like any shop keeper, they can choose not to do business if you're in there throwing slurs. It's not discrimination, or whatever nonsense bullshit you want to come up with.

The fuck is wrong with you? Honestly. You don't get to name your toon slurs, or throw them around in chat. Obviously. You can't in WoW or any other game on the market. Never has been

@oozeclue @Bauldrin Yelling slurs isn't protected speech. Sorry. But again, try it out. Go to your public library and start shouting slurs. Tell them it's your right, and on public property too. Tell the cops the same thing, don't leave. You don't have to, right? Tell the judge. See how it goes.

There is an appeal. And not being able to play for a couple weeks in a beta isn’t a “death sentence” in any sense of the term.

People subject to an actual death sentence don’t get to come back in November.

You’re leaving out, of course, your deliberate choice to choose a name that you knew would be offensive. And pretty bad if you got a ban instead of a rename. You knew the character creator should have blocked it, you knew it would be on retail or classic, you went that way anyway and you’re surprised they don’t want you involved while they sort through a fix.

But, oh, you got to be edgy for a few days.
